Experience Mass or Learn About the History of
Nuestra Señora Reina de Los Angeles
While the church has been excessively remodeled over the years, much of the original furniture and statuary is still around. La Placita (Nuestra Señora Reina de Los Angeles) began as a 1,400-square-foot chapel, now used primarily for baptisms and smaller services. Years later, a church able to accommodate 500 parishioners was built next to the chapel and, since then, has expanded to seat 1,000. What makes this church special is the fact that the church offers 11 masses each Sunday, many times filling up the church so that many gather outside the doors and listen to the service through speakers.
